Lucky Lanes Mobile Bowling is the creation of Alvin Petty, a Marin-based multidisciplinary artist. He’s globally recognized for his mastery of airbrush technique, immersive set building, and iconic custom artwork for rock bands.
Bowling is part of Alvin’s family legacy. In 1967, bowling was at its peak in the United States, with 12,000 alleys across the country. That year, Alvin’s mother Peggy —who learned to bowl from her father —started a Tiny Tots Junior League at Uptown Bowl in Richmond, California.
The league had 100 kids aged 2-12 years old, including Alvin, his sister, and two cousins. His mother and uncle coached their team.
Today, there are fewer than 3,000 bowling alleys in the US. At a time when this American tradition is at risk of disappearing, Alvin hand-built a lane for his neighbors to enjoy in the driveway — and the rest is history.
Reach out to bring a unique slice of Americana to your event. Pricing is tailored to your location, venue, and the size of your group. We operate the lanes during your event and arrive 1.5 hours before the start time to set up. We’re available for an advance site visit if necessary.
