Lucky Lanes is a fully mobile bowling entertainment service that comes directly to your location. Wherever folks gather to have fun, we’re ready to bowl.
Make your next event unforgettable with a retro bowling lane hand-crafted by a local Marin County artist who is widely known for building immersive interactive experiences for all ages. No special bowling shoes are required and no prior experience necessary—just step up and give it a shot.
Our team operates the lane on-site at your venue, handling everything from start to finish. Lucky Lanes evokes the nostalgia of classic Americana. We specialize in introducing people to joy of bowling culture.
Hosting a Lane: Logistical Details
Lane Dimensions: The lane itself is 24 feet long. It requires a total footprint of 28 feet by 7 feet of clear space for a full-length setup.
The Pin Set-up: We use a 6-pin configuration featuring regulation-weighted bowling pins. (Standard commercial bowling alleys use 10 pins).
Bowling Balls: We supply 6-pound bowling balls, as well as an ultra-lightweight 4-pound ball specifically for small children.
Footwear: Guests can wear their own shoes. No rental shoes are needed.
Flexible Timing: You choose the exact length of time you would like to host bowling at your event. Our standard package is 2 hours, but we can easily accommodate custom timing needs.
Setup and Breakdown: Our professional crew arrives roughly 90 minutes before your scheduled start time to assemble the equipment. We safely operate the game with active lane attendant for the duration of your party. Once your time slot concludes, we break down the gear and remove it the exact same day.
The Aesthetic: The lane is designed and meticulously hand-crafted with a retro Americana vibe.

Rate: Pricing for private parties, small groups, and mid-sized neighborhood gatherings starts at $500.00 for a full 2 hours of active bowling.
Company & Public Community Events
Rate: Because every commercial venue is unique, we provide custom pricing plans tailored precisely to your specific layout, geographic location, and guest list size.
Custom Add-Ons
Extra Time: $150.00 per additional hour.
Travel Outside Radius: A standard travel surcharge applies for events hosted +15 miles outside of zip code 94960.
Specialized Locations: A logistical setup surcharge applies for venues requiring stair access or highly complex terrain.

Our Story
Lucky Lanes is the signature creation of Alvin Petty, a celebrated Marin-based multidisciplinary artist. He is nationally recognized for his immersive theatrical set building, mastery of the airbrush technique, and iconic custom artwork for global rock bands.
Bowling is a deep part of Alvin’s family legacy. In 1967, when bowling was at its cultural peak in the United States with over 12,000 active alleys, Alvin’s mother, Peggy—who originally learned the sport from her father—started the legendary Tiny Tots Junior League at Uptown Bowl in Richmond, California. The booming league welcomed over 100 children aged 2 to 12 years old, including Alvin, his sister, and two cousins, all coached directly by his mother and uncle.
Today, there are fewer than 3,000 bowling alleys left across the United States. At a time when this beloved American tradition is at risk of disappearing entirely, Alvin decided to hand-build a retro lane in his driveway for his neighbors to enjoy—and the rest was history.

We travel to your location, including towns like: San Rafael, Fairfax, Larkspur, Ross, Kentfield, Corte Madera, Sausalito, San Geronimo Valley, Oakland, Berkeley, Richmond, El Cerrito, and of course San Francisco. Travel is included within 15 miles of zip code 94960, with a surcharge for locations outside this radius.
